About Robert
A life of all things strings
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and rooted in Phoenix, Arizona, Robert Hoke has had a guitar in his hands for most of his life. He draws inspiration for his music from artists ranging from David Lindley and Ry Cooder to Bill Frisell and Pat Metheny.
Robert has recorded and produced three albums, the latest of which, The Last Decade (and then some), is now available for purchase (see below). The instruments played on this record were numerous acoustic and electric guitars in addition to a Hawaiian Weissenborn-styled lap steel, a Dobro, two National Steel resonators, a vintage Gibson A-3 mandolin, two ukuleles, and an old Nashville-tuned Martin D-18 that is featured prominently in many of these songs.
